Kaduna High Court Grants ₦500 Million Bail To Former El-Rufai's Aide

The Kaduna State High Court has granted bail to Mallam Jafaru Sani, a former commissioner and close ally of immidiate past Governor of kaduna state, mallam Nasir El-Rufai, under stringent conditions.

The court set Sani’s bail at ₦500 million, with two surety meeting strict criteria:
One surety must be a serving Permanent Secretary in either the Federal or State Civil Service.

The second surety must be a retired Permanent Secretary from federal or state government.

The third condition is that Both surety are required to provide evidence of tax payment for the last three years and a valid means of identification.

Additionally, the defendant must deposit his international passport with the court registry and can only travel with the court’s permission.

The case has drawn significant attention, given Sani’s close ties to the former administration. His legal team is expected to fulfill the bail conditions in the coming days.
